Intro to Glass Casting



This one day workshop provides an introduction to the fundamentals of open faced glass casting.

In this workshop you will sculpt a shallow relief artwork in clay, before transforming it into your choice of coloured glass.

You will leave a fun and relaxed day with a sound understanding of clay skills and hand building moulds, in addition to a foundational knowledge of the material and history of glass.

Introduction to Glass Casting is the perfect first step for anyone curious about casting glass, and is suitable for anyone who needs an injection of fun and creativity into their day

Glass Tile Workshop

A short introductory workshop for beginners in which students craft a flat glass tile in a single colour with an imprint of their choice. 
This class will teach introduce you to the fundamentals of simple open faced glass casting. You will be guided through basic clay skills, pouring a mould and how glass is cast in the kiln, and leave with a foundation knowledge of the history and material of glass. 
The Tile Making Workshop is a perfect first step for anyone curious about casting glass. No previous experience required.
