Kelda Morris

Kelda is an internationally award winning, queer, tangata Tiriti glass artist and designer.

Initially drawn to glass in the pursuit of examining and manipulating light, Kelda is known for her innovative approach to working with glass and installation. Combining kiln-formed glass with embroidery to create ethereal lightscapes, her work is a meditative practice processing emotion, and investigating the colours of both subliminal and natural environments.

Endlessly curious about the materiality and possibilities of glass, Kelda works and teaches out of Dirt Child Design Studio – a private workshop nestled in the hills of Te Whanganui a Tara, Wellington.
